This card is not marketed as Linux compatible, but there always are workarounds when it comes to this OS.

There are two main issues with this card:

1. Capture card connects and disconnects when not in use, slowing down the system
2. I wasn't able to capture HDMI sound through the capture card

As reported here and there, the capture card won't stay up as long as it is not used by OBS or some other software. I worked around this issue thanks to this StackExchange thread.

I was able to fetch the video from the capture card, however I couldn't fetch the sound. To work around this, I plugged a male-male 3.5mm jack from the capture card audio passthrough to my computer's Line-In port. Alternatively you can connect the audio passthrough port to a mixing table.
