First of all, install the required dependencies:

Many useful tools rely on the browser source so well set it up too:
wget https://cdn-fastly.obsproject.com/downloads/cef_binary_4638_linux64.tar.bz2 && tar -xjf ./cef_binary_4638_linux64.tar.bz2
We will then clone the repo and choose which version to build
git clone –recursive https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio.git
cd obs-studio
git checkout 27.2.0-rc1
It's now time for the actual building process:
cmake -DUNIX_STRUCTURE=1 -DENABLE_PIPEWIRE=OFF -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr -DBUILD_BROWSER=ON -DCEF_ROOT_DIR=“../../cef_binary_4638_linux64” ..
make -j$(nproc)
And the last step is to create and install our very own obs-studio
package:
sudo checkinstall –default –pkgname=obs-studio –fstrans=no –backup=no –pkgversion=“27.2-rc1-git” –deldoc=yes
